Great teachers make for a great school. At Borneo International School, our policy has been to employ teachers who meet the standards we set for them, accompanied by a strong passion to teach. Our teachers do not only impart academic study skills, but also inspire and inculcate in the students a desire to discover their own talents, develop their critical thinking and become socially responsible global citizens.
Our teachers are trained to utilize superior teaching skills based on the best practices for international schools. Each year, our dedicated teachers undergo a minimum number of hours of training and refresher courses as determined by Borneo International School.
Our low staff-to-student ratio (1:25) ensures that our teachers have the time to attend to the academic and pastoral needs of each student.
Borneo seeks dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate teachers. Candidates for teaching positions must hold a bachelor´s degree with other relevant teaching qualifications. Two or more years of teaching experience are preferable. Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the flexibility to work in a cross-cultural environment.
